La Dolce Vita Disco
Detour Discotheque 2025 took place at Masseria La Restuccia, outside Lecce in the Puglia region of southern Italy, 19-21 September 2025
La Restuccia was a rare find – a perfectly preserved 16th century farmhouse, deep in the heel of Italy. Just a few years ago it was taken over by a disco-loving local family and turned into a stylish, LGBTQ-friendly party venue. Imagine laid-back days, simple luxuries and finding your community at the most deliciously Italian discotheque.
Parties took place in the poolside pagoda and under the stone arches of the masseria. There were sunset feasts on cobblestone terraces, fresh pasta-making classes under the palms and day parties at the edge of the vast pool.
Our venue was in the far south of the Puglia region – as deep as you can journey into Italy’s untouched heritage. With the coast just a few miles away in either direction (Ionian sea to the west, Adriatic to the east) and the nearby town of Lecce is a gem, full of baroque churches and glistening palazzi.
Puglia
Also nearby was Gallipoli, with its 16th century old town crowded precariously onto a tiny island. Or you could visit the imposing fortress of Otranto, or the famous ‘White City’ of Ostuni. In between, finding a patchwork of farms, vineyards and family-run tavernas serving fresh seafood.
Masserias
Masserias are fortified farmhouses, built in Italy between the 16th and 18th centuries. La Restuccia is a particularly beautiful and ancient example that, until the 1950s, was looked after by Luccio de Restuccia (hence the name), who preserved all its secret beauty. The setting was rich with the history of Puglian countryside living: good food, sunny days and simple pleasures.
Let the sunshine in
Detour Discotheque 2025 was all about warmth. Parties took place under spinning mirror balls and retractable roofs (for extra starlight), and even in the water at Detour’s first ever pool party. Also new for 2025: disco karaoke. Dressing up was highly encouraged, and there were nightly themes to inspire your sequinned outfits.
We were excited to have some renowned international selectors playing the best 70s and 80s disco, covering all-time classics, Detour favourites and Italo disco deep cuts.
La Restuccia’s pool covers 1,200 square metres, making it the biggest in southern Italy. It’s an endless, sparkling lagoon, fringed by palm trees, day beds and sun loungers. With a dedicated bar and DJ booth.

Food & drink
Think Puglian salami, gnocchi made with local truffles, ear-shaped orecchiette pasta and the freshest salads and seafood. Food was served on an à la carte basis at the venue throughout the day, with a sit-down feast on Friday evening and an all-you-can-eat barbecue on Sunday – both bookable in advance.
Detour Discotheque is thrilled to announce a new partnership with Crosta Mollica.
